Jay Adams

Jay Adams’ six year undergraduate odyssey came to a close in 1996 at which point he miraculously graduated with a BS in Interior Design and minors in Art and Technology Education. He bagged the ID degree and became a web designer / programmer. Jay is 6’ 2” and can only dunk on a lowered rim. The greatest game Jay ever attended at the Cassell was New Mexico State vs. VT, NIT first round (1995) in which the Hokies pulled out the win on a last second shot by Travis Jackson. During the year that followed that game, Jay actually ran into Travis on three different occasions late night in various College Avenue bars. Each time Jay introduced himself and slurred verbatim: “Dude – you’re Travis Jackson!! Maaaaan that was the greatest shot I have ever seen!! Dude, it’s TRAVIS JACKSON!!”. On the third encounter Travis seemed a little less impressed with Jay, remembering him from the first two encounters. Seven years later, after a long day of tailgating, Jay was once again on College Avenue when he ran into Shawn Goode and Damon Watlington from the ‘95 team. He introduced himself, brought up the NMST game and said “Maaaaan that was the greatest shot I have ever seen. Dude, it’s Shawn Goode and Damon Watlington!!”. Jay has come to the conclusion that alcohol and star athlete run-ins are a bad combination and may put a strain on Jay’s credibility.
